New Members Join the Women’s Ministry Committee

We would like to welcome two new members to the Women’s Ministry Committee – Tammy Elmer and Becky Kraft.

Tammy Elmer has been passionate about Children’s and Women’s ministries for over 25 years. A gifted singer and an experienced leader for Vacation Bible School, the Kindergarten class at Wisconsin Campmeeting and Pathfinders, she has also been a member of the Women’s Retreat Planning Committee and has done multiple Retreat breakout sessions. She and her husband, Darwin, live near Milton. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.

Becky Kraft is a member of the Living Faith Seventh-Day Adventist Church and enjoys being surrounded by her church family. Becky is wife of 50 years to Anthony Kraft, mother of three married sons, Ryan, Anthony Jr. and Peter with a total of seven grandchildren between the three of them. She says, “If my life would end tomorrow, I would consider it to have been a true blessing.”

I am looking forward to seeing you at Camp  Meeting, June 16-25, 2023 in Westfield, Wisconsin.

We anticipate having a brochure printed in time for camp meeting for the upcoming Fall Retreat at Lake Delton, Wisconsin Dells, October 20-22, 2023. Please plan to attend and bring a friend. Start saving your money now!

The speaker for the Fall Retreat will be Tammy Cranston.

Tammy Cranston served as a hospice bereavement volunteer for five years offering support and services to patients and families. She is devoted to helping others through some of life’s most difficult challenges. Tammy has authored Why Not Me?, published by Teach Services, Inc. and recently co-authored The Blank Journal with her current husband, Bob Cranston. Her first children’s book, Rooted: A Seedling’s Journey, was published at the beginning of this year.

Tammy holds an Associate Degree in Communication and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in this same field. She is passionate about her faith and family. She loves to plan, implement, and preserve memories through photography, videography, and the written word.

Together, she and Bob are parents of five children and their spouses, and grandparents twelve grandchildren living in four different states. After years in Illinois, they now reside in Pensacola Beach, Florida.

Regarding the theme for the upcoming Fall Retreat Tammy says, “I have been tossing around the idea of Why Not Me? or In the Midst but have decided on WHY NOT ME?

On Friday night, she plans to start with her testimony and will continue to share snippets throughout the entire retreat.

The titles of her sessions are listed below:

Friday night – Testimony

Sabbath morning – At Our Disposal (Compassion)

Sabbath afternoon – God’s Grip (Confidence)

Saturday evening – Get Out of the Saltshaker (Courage)

Sunday morning – The Final Chapter (Certainty)

She goes on to say, “This is a thought that has been impressed on my heart: God causes the sun to shine and the rain to fall on the just and the unjust. When you look at your life, the good times and the bad, do you see those times through the perspective of God?  For many, this is difficult to answer.”

Looking forward to seeing you there!

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 KJV
