The Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) Department is taking a focus on our public affairs work. We are excited to hold a union-wide PARL event called “Adventist Pioneers and Civic Engagement” on April 5-6, 2024. This two-day event will take place at the Historic Adventist Village in Battle Creek, Michigan and will be a time for us to look at how our church’s founders viewed the work of civic engagement – how did they see this work as tied to our mission and ministry? And, more importantly, how can we continue to be engaged in the work of PARL as it relates to civic engagement and reaching our communities? We hope to see you at this event.
