Opportunities for Prayer at Walmart

Sabbath, February 3 was a beautiful sunny day, unusually warm for the time of year! After the morning church services concluded, members of the Lakeland and Tomahawk Seventh-day Adventist churches headed to Walmart in Minocqua, Wisconsin where they gave out over 200 copies of Ellen White’s “Steps to Christ” among other books. Ed and Anita Blotnicki, Ron Evens, and Dewey Hotchkiss from the Lakeland church and Connie Marsh from the Tomahawk church enjoyed sharing with those who stopped by their table. The group also had several opportunities to pray with individuals as they came and went from the store. God certainly blessed everyone involved!

Walmart does allow non-profit groups like our churches to pass out literature, if the church goes through an approved application process, confirming that they are a legitimate non-profit organization. Once the church is in their system, the church is allowed to sign up to pass out literature in four hour time slots, up to four times a year.
