Fond du Lac Church Recognizes Those Who Serve their Community

Community Service is part of what the Fond du Lac Seventh-day Adventist Church stands for within its community. To do what Christ wants us to do in looking out for those who are faithful to those in need and for those who serve others.

This year as a church, the members of the Fond du Lac Seventh-day Adventist Church wanted to recognize those in their community who have served. On Sunday, September 10, 2023, members got together to cook a lasagna meal with all the fixings, including salad, focaccia bread (flat oven-baked Italian bread), and several deserts. All items were homemade and taken to each of the three Fire Stations in Fond du Lac (FDL), beginning at 11:00 am. Just in time for their noon meal!

A prayer of safety for each member and the entire FDL Fire Department was given at each station upon delivery.

This was not the first meal the church prepared for the community. On Sunday, January 8, 2023, they invited the FDL Police Department to the church to enjoy a spaghetti dinner. The leftovers were delivered to the FDL Police department and enjoyed by all.

The FDL Seventh-day Adventist Church plans to make this an annual event for both Police and Firefighters to show their appreciation.
