LORD, PREPARE ME TO BE A SANCTUARY

Christ is waiting to show you what He has done for us so you can begin to understand His great love for you. He wants to be intimately involved in our lives and has given us the Sanctuary pattern so that He can reveal His will and His love in a deeper, richer way.

Carol Johnson Shewmake says that she grabbed the sanctuary pattern like a drowning person grabs at anything that might save their life and it transformed her prayer life overnight.

As we gather together in October, it’s our prayer that You prepare each one of us to be a sanctuary Lord, pure and holy, tried and true, with thanksgiving we will be a living sanctuary for You.

Tawny Sportsman is the Director of Take Heart Ministry, a Speaker for the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, an Associate Chaplain and Assistant Director for Oregon Conference Prayer Ministries.  She loves serving the One who she says, “never let her go,” and can tell you first hand that no matter what is happening in your life, “He’s more than enough!”

As a speaker for the Oregon Conference, Tawny speaks in a different church nearly every Sabbath. She conducts worship services, workshops, seminars, retreats and trains worship reams.

Take Heart Ministry began when Tawny lost her husband of 35 years. The ministry reaches out to those taking the unexpected journey called grief, letting them know they don’t have to travel alone. She designs programs and events for hurting hearts and she and her team provide tools, resources, support and encouragement as they pull alongside those who are grieving.

Tawny has a perfect daughter, a perfect son-in-law and four perfect AND darling grandchildren. She resides in Sweet Home, Oregon, and in her spare time she loves to deer hunt with her camera.
