Sue Nelson has accepted the call to serve as Superintendent of Education for the Wisconsin Conference. Sue is coming from the Dakota Conference where she has served as Superintendent of Education, Sabbath School, and Pathfinder Director since 2017. Prior to this she served as Director of Outdoor School for the Dakota Conference from 2011-2017. She has worked in Wisconsin before as principal/teacher in our Fox Valley Seventh-day Adventist School from 1998-2004, and later served as principal/teacher in Elkhart Adventist Christian School in Indiana.
Sue received her BS in Elementary Education from Andrews University with minors in Science and Language Arts. Then in 2015 Sue completed her Master’s in Educational Administration from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota .
“I had good mentors as a child growing up,” said Sue. “I chose to go into education because I wanted to be that kind of a person and give back to my church. My husband and I consider our churches and our schools family! We look forward to joining the Wisconsin team as we do ministry back where we started ministry.”
Sue and her husband, Loren, have two children, Lucas and Madison. In their free time they enjoy getting outside, riding bikes, playing games, and spending time with friends.
They plan to join us in Wisconsin mid-August. Welcome to you and your family, Sue!
