This year, 2024, is an exciting year to be a follower of Jesus!
Jesus is coming again, soon!
We have been talking, for over 150 years, about the imminent return of Jesus. We say things like, “We are living in the toes or toenails of Daniel 2” or “We are living in the 11th hour.” Just because we’ve been saying it for the last 150 years doesn’t mean it isn’t any less true. God’s timeline is not the same as ours and He is faithful to keep His promise to return.
Jesus IS coming again!
Our purpose in the Wisconsin Conference is to reach people for Jesus. Over the next three years (2024-2026) we are highlighting evangelism with an initiative called Reach Wisconsin.
In 2024 we already have over 30 lay evangelists holding public meetings in our conference! Most of them are preaching a full message series created by the ministry It Is Written. We envision this series of meetings, happening in more than 30 places in Wisconsin, as seed sewing events. We are looking forward to seeing what will happen as God brings fruit from this initiative.
Next year, the pastors of the churches that have held lay-led series in 2024 will be asked to focus on those churches again in 2025. We look for this second series to be a combination of seed sowing as well as reaping meetings. This second series will also be setting things up for the culmination of the Reach Wisconsin initiative in 2026.
That final year, we are committing to bring in pastors and professional evangelists to do an additional series of meetings in the churches that have been consistently participating in Reach Wisconsin.
We are praying that God will bless us with 365 baptisms in 2026. Not that we want to limit God, but He tells us that we have not because we ask not. So, we are asking for His abundant blessing during this initiative. These 365 aren’t simply a number, but they are a number that represents your neighbors, your children, your families, your loved ones. These are God’s children.
God promises that His word will not return to us void. Join us in praying for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit as we continue to seek souls for Jesus.
