The cold may be upon us, but something warm and wonderful is coming! Jesus! And…Summer Camp!! We long for an amazing Savior to come and take us home, but in the meantime we are going to do as much as we can to share His love and mercy with everyone that we meet! The Wisconsin Youth Department is full of activities, events, and opportunities such as PBE, JAHWI Youth Rally, Public Campus Ministries retreat and so much more.
Pathfinder Bible Experience, aka PBE, is coming up soon and we have roughly 100 young people around Wisconsin diligently studying the book of Luke. Area level, meaning specific regions of Wisconsin, will compete February 2. Once they compete in Area Level, our Pathfinders will then move onto three other competition levels: Conference: March 2 at Camp Wakonda; Union: March 30 at Andrews University; and Division:, April 27 in Rockford, IL. We are so excited to have our young people around Wisconsin studying God’s word! If you are in any of the following PBE locations on February 2nd at 2:30 pm, please go support our Pathfinders: Sheboygan English, Chippewa Valley, Waukesha English, and Waukesha Spanish churches.
We are also very excited to be gearing up for Oshkosh camporee August 12-17, 2019! Wisconsin has 22 clubs and 356 Pathfinders attending Oshkosh this year! In preparation for this event we have several clubs gearing up and working on March and Drill, Uniform Inspections, pin trading, and many more activities offered at this worldwide event! Lastly, Summer camp is always on the move! Even though it feels like -50 outside right now, it is sunny and 75 in our hearts! We look forward to the long summer days, cool summer nights, kids sitting at evening worship seeing the story of Jesus unfold, and realizing that Jesus died for them. Plus, we are excited this year to be introducing Equestrian Camp!
