Urgent Need Request for Afghanistan Refugees in Wisconsin

Fort McCoy in Wisconsin is accepting guests from Afghanistan at 1,000 per day. There are about 8,000 on base now and by next week there will be close to 11,000. They have come with the clothes on their backs. We have been asked to help. The request is for new clothing and shoes for men, women, and children. (See the bulletin insert below for details.) No used clothing will be accepted at this point.

We would like to have a truck ready to go on Thursday September 9. This is a quick turn-around but with all your help it can happen. That means if you can collect at your church and then call Alice Garrett 608-345-3883 for the closest drop off point by Tuesday, September 7, so we can get it packed and ready to go!!!  You can text or leave a message.

Your help is so appreciated! If you would like to give a monetary gift, please send a check for WI ACS to:
