The pressure is on to divide us.
The enemy knows ‘to divide is to conquer’.
We see it happening all around us in our world today.
Divide and conquer.
But how is it our church is falling so heavily into Satan’s net? How have we let it get a hold on us? How do we avoid ‘the net’?
There is a way…a sure way to not be caught by Satan.
Jesus saw this trap from the beginning and has provided a way of escape.
Prayer.
Real prayer. Heartfelt prayer.
United prayer. Prayer for the promised gift of the Holy Spirit. Prayer to understand ‘righteousness by faith’ to its fullest extent. Prayer for a new heart. Prayer for our mission. Prayer for all our leaders. Prayer for loving unity with each other.
Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” John 18: 36. His followers knew this, even Pilate understood it.
Now as never before we must set our sights on Christ’s eternal kingdom and all that means to us and this rebel planet we’ve found ourselves living on.
Jesus is coming back for us. He is coming back soon. And like the game of Hide & Seek we played as kids…we counted to 100, then called loudly, “Ready or not, here I come!”
We definitely can be ready…none of us should be taken by surprise.
Our prayers keep us close to Him and to each other.
We need each other. We need to pray for each other; our churches; our leaders; our conference; our community; our families and ourselves.
Learn what it means to pray without ceasing.
In conclusion I invite each church to send their Prayer Coordinator & Health Ministry Leader to join us on Sabbath November 9th starting at 10:00 am at Camp Wakonda.
If you can come please let me know, but if not please lift us up in prayer that day.
As Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “There is power in unity, and there is power in numbers.”
I would like to add, ‘there is therefore much power in united prayer’.
May God bless each one of us as we go forward on our knees.
Sincerely~
Lesa J. Budd

Please RSVP to Lesa Budd: 920-210-5525 (Leave a message, how many coming & name and cell number.)
Schedule for “THE DAY”: Sabbath, November 9, 2024
- 10:00 am – Joint Meeting
- 12:15 pm – Healthful Lunch
- Afternoon activity – may go out walking.
- Separate learning session for both Health and Prayer Ministries.
- Closing the Sabbath with sundown worship plus soup & sandwiches before heading home!
We believe God is calling us for such a time as this. If the health message is the right arm of the gospel, prayer to our Heavenly Father is what shall give it power.
Ministry Perspective: “Those who are willing to inform themselves concerning the effects of sinful indulgences upon the health, and who commence the work of reform, even if it be from selfish motives, in so doing place themselves where the truth of God may find access to their hearts.” Testimonies for the Church Vol.4, p. 553.
