Wakonda Work Bee, May 16-20, 2021

The Wakonda Work Bee is just around the corner and we’re hoping that you will be a part of it! The work bee will begin on Sunday, May 16, at 9:00 am  and continue through Thursday, May 20. Plan to come for a day, two days or stay for the whole time! Meals and housing, in cabins, will be provided for those helping with camp projects. 

There are projects for everyone! From the most skilled craftsman to those eager to help, there will be jobs for all. Projects include (but are not limited to) the following:

Various carpentry jobs
Deep cleaning
Painting cabins
Installing new metal roofs
Mechanic work on vehicles
Power wash steps

Meal prep/clean-up
Landscaping
Flowerbeds – TLC
Winter debris removal
Stick removal
General repairs

Clean pine needles from roofs
Install asphalt shingles
Grounds projects
Install steel siding
Replacing fencing around Fireside
Various plumbing jobs

If you have a specialty, bring your equipment.

Come and enjoy fun, making new friends, fellowship and fresh air. Optional evening activities are planned. Please check in at the office to let us know you have arrived.
