Sabbath, March 9: Wisconsin Conference Pastors Israel Trip

Our final day in Israel. We walked down to the garden tomb, and here we celebrated communion and held our worship service. We had lunch in the Christmas hotel, and then took a bus to the top of the Mount of Olives. The view of Jerusalem was fantastic. Then we walked down the hill to the garden of Gethsemane and the Church of all Nations. Next we hiked up into the city following the Via Dolorosa to the church of the Holy Sepulcher, the traditional sight of Calvary and Jesus tomb. On the way, we stopped at the Church of St. Anne and the Pool of Bethesda. At 6:00 pm we met back at our hotel, loaded the bus and headed out for the airport. Our phone step counter says we each walked about 40 miles during the course of this trip, five mile a day average.
