The Petersen Elementary school family has been meeting every morning for Bible class via a video teleconferencing platform. Last week, students were encouraged to prayerfully look for an opportunity to do something for someone else: specifically, someone outside their family unit.
Throughout the school-year, before the Safer-at-Home mandates, Petersen students enjoyed a wide variety of service projects and Bible Labs. As we transitioned to digital learning, we found that we were really missing the connection between what we were learning in class and the people around us. We decided to, safely, get out there.
Students baked and cleaned and picked-up sticks. They made window signs and cards. They delivered dandelion bouquets, mowed lawns, pulled weeds, and played games. They brightened the lives of so many and brought smiles to the people around them.
