The Wisconsin Conference is delighted to welcome Pastor Timothy Kwon and his family as the new pastor for the Madison East Church.
Born in South Korea, Pastor Tim grew up across three countries—Korea, the Philippines, and the United States—experiencing diverse cultures that have shaped his perspective and ministry. From a young age, he felt a deep calling to pastoral service, a calling he has faithfully pursued for over 12 years in Michigan and Illinois Conferences.
Pastor Tim is currently advancing his academic journey by pursuing a PhD in New Testament studies at Andrews University, where he has also served as adjunct faculty for three years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and passion that will enrich his church community.
Pastor Tim is married to Janelle, his best friend from high school, and together they are raising two wonderful children. Their daughter, 11-year-old Gracie, enjoys reading and playing the flute, while their 8-year-old son, Paul, loves drawing and playing soccer. Pastor Tim is also the younger brother of Pastor Myoung, who serves at the Waukesha Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Tim and his family are eager to serve God and His children here in the Madison area, and we are pleased to have them join our conference. We look forward to the many ways Pastor Tim’s leadership, teaching, and pastoral care will bless his church members and the surrounding community. He will begin his ministry on January 1, 2025.
