July was a typical month of vacations and rejuvenation before the new school year and Fall season start.

I had a few days of vacation attending a wedding, visiting friends, and spending time with my family.

Laurella Case accepted the responsibility to be our new Communication Department Coordinator. She will continue to provide the best assistance to the entire conference in the area of Communication.

I was blessed to preach in the Ashland, Oxford, and Sturgeon Bay churches.

The Camp Facilities Management Committee met and discussed a master plan that may include significant renovations at Camp Wakonda and possible new facilities. The upcoming Executive Committee will vote on the new proposals.

The Durand Hospital had its regular Board of Trustees meeting and reported a positive budget despite the current financial challenges.

The Personnel Committee met and interviewed two candidates for our current four pastoral openings in the conference.

Pastor Zack Payne and his staff had a successful summer camp season. I had a chance to visit and see how campers enjoyed their activities and how the Lord blessed us with another opportunity to lead our children and youth to Jesus.
