The Wisconsin Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is deeply saddened by the news of the tragedy at the Abundant Life Christian School, a non-denominational school in Madison, WI. Our hearts are heavy with grief for all those affected by the devastating events of today. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of all the victims.
Our own Adventist school located in Madison, Three Angels Christian School (3ACS), is just a few blocks away from the Abundant Life campus. Due to proximity, all area schools including 3ACS, implemented extra safety precautions and sent the students home early.
During times like these, we draw strength from God’s promises to be our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We remember also His promise to be near the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Join us in lifting up the students, faculty and families of Abundant Life Christian School in our prayers. We trust in God’s ability to bring hope even in the darkest of times knowing that we do not face this challenge alone.
