It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Pastor Robert Stauffer on August 19, 2024, following a short battle with cancer.
Pastor Stauffer served faithfully in pastoral ministry for over 50 years, including more than 20 years within the Wisconsin Conference. Alongside his wife, Alma, he ministered across multiple districts, participated in mission trips, and served in interim roles even after retirement—continually answering the call to share Christ. His unwavering love for God and others was evident in every conversation and sermon. Whether working with Pathfinders, leading mission trips to Mexico, or encouraging believers through his “Assurance of Salvation” classes, Pastor Stauffer’s heart was always focused on reaching souls for Jesus.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Alma, and their children.
A memorial service to honor his life and legacy will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wisconsin Academy Chapel. All are welcome to join us in remembering and celebrating his life of faithful service.
Please continue to keep the Stauffer family in your prayers during this time. As we grieve the loss of Pastor Stauffer, we hold on to the hope found in Scripture:
“We do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”
