We are pleased to share that Shabnam Gulzar has accepted the call to teach grades K-4 at Three Angels Christian School. Shabnam was born and raised in Pakistan and, for her early education, went to a Christian school in her hometown. For higher education, her parents decided to send her to Pakistan Adventist Seminary, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After finishing her Bachelor’s, she started serving at the Pakistan Adventist Seminary Elementary School, where she taught multigrades in grades 1st, 2nd , and 3rd. While working, Shabnam pursued further education and obtained a Master’s Degree.
After she married, the Lord called the couple into mission service in Africa at the Adventist University of Lukanga in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They served there for 17 years, and Shabnam worked in different capacities as a university cashier, lecturer, and registrar. She says, “The Lord used our family in many ways apart from the work at the university to spread the good news of His second return.” The family moved to the United States in 2019, and she started by volunteering as a teacher’s aide in the lower grades at Milwaukee Seventh-day Adventist School (MSDAS). Most recently, Shabnam has worked as the food services director and cook for three years at MSDAS.
Shabnam firmly believes in Adventist Education and its transformational power. She says, “I am excited to be part of the Three Angels School family, and I can’t wait for what God has in store for me and the school.” She desires to see kids grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically to be a witness for the Lord as they grow older. When not in the classroom, Shabnam likes to cook, spend time with her family and take walks.
We welcome Shabnam to our Wisconsin teaching team and pray God’s blessing on her in this new role.
