If you’re like many people in our conference, you anticipate Wisconsin Camp Meeting every year as a time to rest and recharge from your typical routine and busy schedule. Camp Wakonda remains a place where memories are made, and we can come away spiritually and relationally refreshed.
Over the past few years, several attendees have seen an opportunity for a stronger communal element—one that would specifically meet the needs of the younger generation. They felt the annual camp meeting was missing more options for casual, sit-down conversations between formal meetings and a welcoming, modern environment that appeals to young adults and those who are young at heart.
For Camp Meeting 2025, we are opening a new space among the pines called Milk & Honey Café. Located on administration row, it will be housed in a cabin previously used for storage and will be updated to include new lighting, seating, and an outdoor patio. While the café will offer drinks and light food, the focus is on creating a place to gather, share a Bible study, reflect on the seminars, and reconnect with someone you haven’t seen since last year.
The nuts and bolts of the work have been happening for several months. However, for the café to become a reality, we need to meet our fundraising goal of $12,000 to help with the initial costs, including wiring, lights, furniture, consumables, and more. The concept has already generated interest from donors, raising $4,500 toward infrastructure changes, lighting, tables, and other essentials.
Would you be willing to help us reach our goal? We are looking for both corporate and individual donors to partner with us in launching this new ministry at Camp Meeting 2025. If you are interested in corporate sponsorship, please contact us at cafe@milkhoney.com, and we will share our corporate benefit structure with you. Individuals can donate via the QR code below or by sending a check to the Wisconsin Conference (PO Box 100, Fall River, WI 53932) with “Milk & Honey Café” in the memo line.
Feel free to follow us on Instagram at milkhoney.cafe, Facebook at Milk and Honey Cafe, or visit our website at www.milkhoney.cafe, where we will post updates on our fundraising progress and the work happening behind the scenes.
Thank you in advance for helping us create a place for you and your friends to connect. We can’t wait to serve you and show you the difference this new space will make.
