On Sabbath, November 5, the Madison Community and Madison East Seventh-day Adventist Churches hosted the second annual WorshipWorks Wisconsin (3W): an event designed to encourage and equip inter-generational worship leaders from around the state. The group was led in musical worship by singer-songwriter Narda Herimalala, the Wisconsin Academy Choir, the Madison Community Praise Team, Dr. Odette Anderson, Thomas Anderson, and the Madison East Praise Team.
Pastor Zack Payne preached on getting to the heart of worship and worship leading, and also led a worship songwriting workshop. Pastor Loren Nelson preached on the healing quality of music in the face of difficult life circumstances.
In the evening, the group enjoyed games in the school gym, board games, and a snack fundraiser to benefit the local Three Angels Adventist School. There was a great air of enthusiasm and participation among the nearly one hundred attendees, and they are already looking forward to next year’s event.
Please consider sending your local worship leaders to next year’s event. They are planning to invite even more guests to lead out and speak on the topic of excellent worship, as well as more workshop options for various topics related to worship leadership.
