We are pleased to share that pastor Eric Jean-Baptiste has accepted the call to minister as associate pastor for the Green Bay district in the Wisconsin Conference.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Eric Jean-Baptiste is a Haitian American who is a fifth-generation Seventh-day Adventist pastor. He shares that although he spent many years running from pastoral ministry, he was active in youth ministry for 25 years. His journey began when he was elected as Assistant Pathfinder Director at the age of 17. That opportunity to lead as a teenager was a life-changing moment for him, one that ignited his desire to dedicate his life to provide similar leadership opportunities for future generations.
Being deeply passionate about youth ministry, Eric has worked and volunteered over the years in various areas of this ministry. He served as a Pathfinder Area Coordinator in the Southern New England and Lake Region Conferences. Eric has been honored to serve as the Executive Coordinator for Pathfinder Ministry in the Lake Region for the past four years and has also worked as the boys’ director at Camp Wagner. People may recognize him by the silver helmet he wears with his Pathfinder uniform.
Eric eventually yielded to God’s pastoral calling, prompting him and his wife Eda to relocate to Berrien Springs, MI, where he is currently finishing his theology degree at Andrews University. Pastor Jean-Baptiste will officially begin his ministry the beginning of January. However, they will continue living in Berrien Springs, until his graduation in August of 2025 when he will be full-time in Green Bay.
Eric shares that he has been married to his lovely wife, Eda Bien-Aime, for 11 years. She is a registered nurse and he considers her to be an amazing ministry partner. Together, they are the parents of two growing boys, Ezra (9) and E.J. (4). Yes, the entire family shares the first letter “E,” and they pray that their ministry will Encourage, Educate, Enlighten, and Empower the youth of Green Bay.
