Ken Smith Interim Principal for Wisconsin Academy

Ken Smith Interim Principal for Wisconsin Academy

We welcome Ken Smith as the Interim Principal at Wisconsin Academy. Over his career, Smith has taught on every level of education from 1st grade to college, in schools from Alaska to Florida and been an administrator of small schools and junior academies for 27 years. He also spent 12 years teaching at two of our Adventist boarding academies, Forest Lake Academy in Florida and Valley Grande Academy in Texas.

Most recently Mr. Smith has worked as principal in two of our Wisconsin schools spending eight years at Milwaukee Seventh-day Adventist School and one year at Green Bay Adventist Junior Academy.

Mr. Smith decided to become a teacher because he felt it was the best way to serve the Lord, by leading kids to Christ. When asked about his vision for Wisconsin Academy Smith says his number one goal is to introduce young people to Jesus. He desires to make Wisconsin Academy a place where young people are happy and want to attend. His goals include enhancing the different departments such as computers, shop, and music as well as reaching out to the churches and schools in our conference to connect them with the academy.

Welcome Mr. Smith, to Wisconsin Academy!

Sue Nelson, Superintendent for Education
