Once a month, students at Hillside Christian School read to students, aged 3-4, in a Head Start classroom. For over two years, we have had to read to them over Zoom. In October of this year, we were able to read to them in-person!

We practiced ahead of time, reading the book we were going to share. When the day came, there was great excitement! When we arrived at the Head Start classroom, each Hillside student was assigned to a couple of their students and spent time reading to them.

I was proud of how Hillside students interacted with the younger students at Head Start. We are looking forward to going back in November.
