Fall Teachers Meetings Bring Wisconsin’s Education Team Together

Monday, August 5, 44 Wisconsin Conference teachers and staff met at the conference office for their annual fall teachers meetings. It’s a valuable time to get acquainted with new teachers joining the team, pick up student school books for this year, and receive additional training.

After a devotion by Conference President Mike Edge, Linda Fuchs, Lake Union Director for Education and Early Childhood Education, shared regarding the Kosrae SDA School in Micronesia which we as a part of the Lake Union have adopted. Wisconsin Academy invited us to join in the “Run for Kosrae,” to be held the morning of September 15 on the WA campus. This is a 5-kilometer walk/run that is open for all ages from across our conference to be involved in. The goal is to raise $2,000 and build a gymnasium for the school in Kosrae.

The afternoon meeting provided time for teachers to hear more about the new Language Arts Curriculum. At 4:00 pm, the teacher team loaded the Wisconsin Academy bus and headed to Chicago where they will join the Illinois Conference teachers for additional training.
