It was a beautiful spring day to be outside enjoying the sunshine, but the group gathered inside the Chippewa Valley SDA Adventist Church was just as excited to attend the 3rd Annual Live Longer Mini Expo. This year’s topic was hydrotherapy.
Emma Magnolia, the instructor, brought a wealth of knowledge and years of experience as she demonstrated several simple, health-benefiting techniques using hot and cold water. Assisted by willing volunteers from those attending, as well as her lovely young children, she showed how to do hot foot baths, cold compresses, cold sock treatments, chest compresses, and friction mitt rubs. These methods were all very simple, yet offer profound health benefits.
It was wonderful to see how the simple use of hot and cold water can help the body balance itself during both minor and more serious health challenges.
The second session, which covered more advanced hydrotherapy techniques, was also well attended and provided additional practical instruction for those interested in continuing to learn natural methods of supporting health.
We were blessed to have attendees from the general public as well as from several near and far churches, making this year’s event especially encouraging.
