Retiro de Ancianos y Esposas 2026
Con el propósito de fortalecer el liderazgo espiritual y reafirmar el compromiso con la misión de la iglesia, se llevó a cabo el Retiro de Ancianos y sus Esposas bajo el lema “Celebrando el pasado, cumpliendo la misión”, el 6-7 de marzo en la ciudad de Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Los temas y seminaries fueron presentados por la oradora principal, la Dra. Ana María Benzaquen y por los Pastores hispanos locales de la Conferencia de Wisconsin.
Durante el retiro se presentaron diferentes seminarios enfocados en el crecimiento espiritual, el fortalecimiento del liderazgo y la armonía familiar en el servicio. Entre los temas presentados se destacó “La Vida Espiritual y Devocional del Anciano y Cónyuge,” resaltando la importancia de mantener una relación profunda con Dios para que el liderazgo sea guiado por el Espíritu Santo y refleje una vida transformada.
Las esposas participaron en sesiones especiales que abordaron temas relevantes para su crecimiento personal y relacional. Entre ellos “Reflejando lo mejor de ti,” enfocado en aprender a vivir con equilibrio y paz interior, dando lo mejor de sí mismas con confianza y seguridad; y “Relaciones que edifican,” donde se compartieron principios para cultivar relaciones sanas basadas en el respeto, la empatía y el establecimiento de límites saludables.
Asimismo, se desarrollaron seminarios dirigidos al fortalecimiento del liderazgo de los ancianos, destacando su Liderazgo, enfatizando que la predicación del anciano debe exaltar a Cristo, afirmar la fe de la iglesia y movilizar a la congregación para cumplir la misión que Dios ha encomendado.
Otro de los temas presentados fue “El Anciano y su Cónyuge: Su familia y su relación con la hermandad,” recordando la importancia de fortalecer la familia mientras se cumple la misión,
Finalmente, se presentó el tema “La Letra y el Espíritu del Manual de Iglesia,” recordando que el Manual de Iglesia orienta la organización y el funcionamiento de la iglesia, mientras que el Espíritu Santo dirige el cumplimiento de la ley con amor, bondad y misericordia.
El retiro fue de gran bendición para todos los participantes, fortaleciendo su compromiso con Dios, con la iglesia y con la misión. Sin duda, momentos como estos permiten renovar la visión, fortalecer la unidad y preparar a los líderes para seguir sirviendo con dedicación y fidelidad en el cumplimiento de la misión.

Elders and Wives Retreat 2026
“Celebrating the Past, Fulfilling the Mission”
With the purpose of strengthening spiritual leadership and reaffirming commitment to the church’s mission, the Elders and Wives Retreat was held under the theme “Celebrating the Past, Fulfilling the Mission” on March 6-7 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The topics and seminars were presented by the keynote speaker, Dr. Ana María Benzaquen, and by local Hispanic pastors from the Wisconsin Conference.
During the retreat, various seminars focused on spiritual growth, strengthening leadership, and family harmony in service were presented. Among the topics presented was “The Spiritual and Devotional Life of the Elder and Spouse,” highlighting the importance of maintaining a deep relationship with God so that leadership is guided by the Holy Spirit and reflects a transformed life.
The wives participated in special sessions that addressed topics relevant to their personal and relational growth. Among them were “Reflecting the Best of Yourself,” focused on learning to live with balance and inner peace, giving their best with confidence and security; and “Building Up Relationships,” where principles were shared for cultivating healthy relationships based on respect, empathy, and establishing healthy boundaries.
Seminars were also held to strengthen the leadership of elders, highlighting their leadership and emphasizing that the elder’s preaching should exalt Christ, affirm the faith of the church, and mobilize the congregation to fulfill the mission God has entrusted to them.
Another topic presented was “The Elder and His Spouse: His Family and His Relationship with the Fellowship,” emphasizing the importance of strengthening the family while fulfilling the mission.
Finally, the topic “The Letter and the Spirit of the Church Manual” was presented, reminding everyone that the Church Manual guides the organization and functioning of the church, while the Holy Spirit directs the fulfillment of the law with love, kindness, and mercy. The retreat was a great blessing for all participants, strengthening their commitment to God, the church, and the mission. Undoubtedly, moments like these allow us to renew our vision, strengthen unity, and prepare leaders to continue serving with dedication and faithfulness in fulfilling the mission.
