Celebration Sabbath – CANCELLED

Celebration Sabbath – CANCELLED

Today we received the most recent update from the Marquette County Health Department regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Marquette County, where Camp Wakonda is located, currently has the third highest COVID-19 “burden” (cases per 100,000) in the state. It is below Milwaukee County but higher than Dane County.

Because of this we are cancelling the Celebration Sabbath on August 29, as well as the Hispanic Celebration Sabbath on September 5. Until we see these COVID-19 numbers decreasing, other events scheduled to be held at Camp Wakonda  through  late summer and fall may need to be cancelled as well.

This is a major disappointment, however, I think we need to be responsible and safe. Bringing 500-900 people together from across the state makes the probability of individuals becoming affected (positive) for COVID-19 very high.

I pray that through these challenging and ever-changing times we will keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, and allow Him to refine us to be like Him.
