50.º Aniversario de la Obra Adventista Hispana en Wisconsin
La Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día en Wisconsin celebró con gratitud y alegría el 50.º aniversario de la obra hispana el 30 de mayo de 2026. Unidos en un mismo espíritu de alabanza y agradecimiento, la Conferencia de Wisconsin y la Conferencia Regional del Lago dieron gloria a Dios por cinco décadas de servicio, evangelismo y testificación a la comunidad hispana de nuestro estado.
Miembros e invitados de las iglesias hispanas de Wisconsin se congregaron en el Auditorio Pitman del Alverno College, en Milwaukee, para participar en la culminación de la Caravana Evangelística organizada en conmemoración de este importante acontecimiento. Asimismo, las iglesias disfrutaron de la celebración anual del Día de la Hermandad Hispana, haciendo de esta ocasión una experiencia inolvidable de unidad y gratitud.
Para celebrar el 50.º aniversario, se llevó a cabo la Caravana Evangelística “No te Rindas, Aún Hay Esperanza”, contando con la participación del evangelista internacional, Pastor Alejandro Bullón, y del reconocido cantante Felipe Garibo. Juntos recorrieron las principales ciudades de Wisconsin, llevando mensajes de esperanza, renovación espiritual y conciertos inspiradores que fueron de gran bendición para todos los asistentes.
Durante los meses previos a la caravana, se realizaron campañas bíblicas de preparación en diferentes iglesias, con la participación de evangelistas de la Federación de Jóvenes Adventistas Hispanos de Wisconsin, evangelistas invitados y catorce estudiantes de Teología de la Universidad Adventista Unión del Perú. Estos esfuerzos contribuyeron significativamente a preparar corazones para las decisiones espirituales que se tomarían durante la serie evangelística.
La Caravana Evangelística inició los días 22 y 23 de mayo en Madison, en la Iglesia Adventista Madison East. Posteriormente continuó los días 24 y 25 de mayo en la Iglesia Adventista Hispana de Sheboygan. Luego se trasladó a Eau Claire, donde las reuniones se llevaron a cabo los días 26 y 27 de mayo. En cada ciudad, centenares de personas fueron fortalecidas espiritualmente mediante la predicación de la Palabra de Dios y la música cristiana presentada durante esta gira evangelística.
Finalmente, la Caravana Evangelística concluyó en Milwaukee, donde miembros e invitados de todas las iglesias hispanas del estado se reunieron para agradecer a Dios por estos cincuenta años de proclamación del evangelio en Wisconsin. La celebración se llevó a cabo en el Auditorio Pitman del Alverno College, donde cientos de personas disfrutaron de los mensajes bíblicos del Pastor Bullón y de los conciertos inspiradores de Felipe Garibo.
A lo largo del recorrido, muchas personas fueron impactadas por el mensaje de esperanza presentado durante las reuniones. Como resultado de estos esfuerzos evangelísticos, 65 personas entregaron sus vidas a Cristo mediante el bautismo, testificando públicamente de su decisión de aceptar a Jesús como su Salvador personal. Todos fuimos testigos del poder transformador del Espíritu Santo obrando en los corazones día tras día.
En el marco del Día de la Hermandad Hispana y la celebración del 50.º aniversario, tuvimos el privilegio de contar con la presencia del Presidente de la Conferencia de Wisconsin y su esposa, Rozina, así como del Vicepresidente General de la Unión del Lago, Pastor Carmelo Mercado, y su esposa, Roxane.
En esta ocasión especial, se reconocieron los 50 años de ministerio pastoral del Pastor Carmelo Mercado, expresándole nuestra gratitud por su liderazgo, dedicación y constante apoyo a las iglesias hispanas de Wisconsin a lo largo de los años.
La asistencia a esta gran celebración superó todas las expectativas. El sábado 30 de mayo fue necesario habilitar un espacio adicional debido a la gran afluencia de asistentes, alcanzando una participación cercana a las 1,350 personas entre miembros e invitados. Sin duda, fue una manifestación visible de las abundantes bendiciones de Dios sobre Su obra.
Deseamos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a los pastores, líderes y miembros de ambas conferencias por su apoyo y participación en esta histórica celebración. Extendemos también nuestro reconocimiento a los ujieres, diáconos, diaconisas, personal de sonido, video, transmisión y a todos los integrantes de las diferentes comisiones que sirvieron con dedicación para que cada detalle se desarrollara con excelencia. Agradecemos igualmente a los grupos musicales de adultos y jóvenes por las muchas horas de preparación y dedicación que contribuyeron a dirigir la adoración a Dios a través del canto.
Nos llena de alegría saber que muchas personas fueron bendecidas durante esta magna celebración.
Con corazones agradecidos podemos afirmar junto al profeta Samuel:
“Eben-ezer… Hasta aquí nos ha ayudado Jehová” (1 Samuel 7:12).

50th Anniversary of the Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Work in Wisconsin
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Wisconsin celebrated the 50th anniversary of Hispanic ministry on May 30, 2026, with hearts full of gratitude and joy. United in a spirit of praise and thanksgiving, the Wisconsin Conference and the Lake Region Conference gave glory to God for five decades of service, evangelism, and outreach to the Hispanic community throughout our state.
Members and guests from Hispanic churches across Wisconsin gathered at the Pitman Auditorium of Alverno College in Milwaukee to participate in the culmination of the Evangelistic Caravan organized in commemoration of this important milestone. The churches also enjoyed the annual Hispanic Brotherhood Day celebration, making this occasion an unforgettable experience of unity, fellowship, and gratitude.
As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, the evangelistic caravan “Don’t Give Up, There Is Still Hope” was held with international evangelist Pastor Alejandro Bullón and renowned Christian singer Felipe Garibo. Together, they traveled to major cities throughout Wisconsin, sharing messages of hope, spiritual renewal, and inspiring concerts that blessed all who attended.
During the months leading up to the caravan, preparatory evangelistic campaigns were conducted in various churches with the participation of evangelists from the Wisconsin Hispanic Adventist Youth (JAHWI), guest evangelists, and fourteen theology students from the Peruvian Union University. These efforts helped prepare many hearts for the spiritual decisions made during the evangelistic meetings.
The Evangelistic Caravan began on May 22 and 23 in Madison at the Madison East Seventh-day Adventist Church. It then continued on May 24 and 25 in Sheboygan at the Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church. The meetings moved to Eau Claire on May 26 and 27, where hundreds of people were spiritually strengthened through the preaching of God’s Word and the Christian music presented throughout the tour.
The Evangelistic Caravan concluded in Milwaukee, where members and guests from Hispanic churches across the state gathered to thank God for fifty years of gospel proclamation in Wisconsin. The final celebration took place at the Pitman Auditorium of Alverno College, where attendees were blessed by Pastor Bullón’s inspiring biblical messages and Felipe Garibo’s uplifting concerts.
Throughout the caravan, many lives were touched by the message of hope presented during the meetings. As a result of these evangelistic efforts, 65 individuals publicly committed their lives to Christ through baptism, testifying to their decision to accept Jesus as their personal Savior. We witnessed the transforming power of the Holy Spirit at work in hearts day after day.
As part of the Hispanic Brotherhood Day celebration and the 50th anniversary program, we were honored by the presence of the President of the Wisconsin Conference and his wife, Rozina, as well as Pastor Carmelo Mercado, General Vice President of the Lake Union Conference, and his wife, Roxane.
On this special occasion, Pastor Mercado was also recognized for his 50 years of pastoral ministry. We expressed our gratitude for his leadership, dedication, and unwavering support of the Hispanic churches in Wisconsin throughout the years.
Attendance at this historic celebration exceeded all expectations. On Sabbath, May 30, additional seating had to be provided to accommodate nearly 1,350 members and guests. It was truly a visible manifestation of God’s abundant blessings upon His work.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the pastors, leaders, and church members of both conferences for their support and participation in this historic celebration. We also thank the ushers, deacons, deaconesses, sound system, video and transmission teams, and all committee members who served faithfully to ensure that every aspect of the event was carried out with excellence. Special thanks are extended to the adult and youth musical groups whose many hours of preparation and dedication helped lead the congregation in worship through music.
We also express our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the 50th anniversary of Hispanic ministry in Wisconsin a tremendous success. It brings us great joy to know that so many people were able to experience the blessings poured out during this remarkable celebration.
With grateful hearts, we can affirm the words of the prophet Samuel:
“Ebenezer… Thus far the Lord has helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12).
To God be all the honor and glory for these fifty years of ministry, for the countless blessings He has bestowed upon His people, and for the many wonderful things yet to come.
