Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Razia Nishan’s call to serve the Lord began in 1993 at the Pakistan Adventist Seminary and College, which led her to the Faculty of Education at Solusi University, Zimbabwe. She later moved to the United States, where she served at Whispering Pines Seventh-day Adventist School, before joining the Northeastern Conference family at the Northeastern Adventist Academy, Long Island Campus. Now, she will be teaching grades 7–10 at Green Bay Adventist Junior Academy.
Dr. Nishan is passionate about teaching science and English, while striving to create a nurturing and academically enriching classroom environment. Her teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in the promise found in Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord,” an anchor that continually reminds her of the greater purpose behind everything she does. She aims to not only educate students, but also inspire them with hope, resilience, and faith. Dr. Nishan is married to her husband, Pastor Akram Nishan, and has two wonderful children, Misbah and Moses.
