Marie Dow, a proud native of Wisconsin, brings with her a wealth of life experience, shaped not only by her Midwestern roots but also by having lived in six other states across the country.
After taking a 27-year break from her own education to focus on family and life’s many responsibilities, Marie made the inspiring decision to return to college and pursue her passion for teaching. Her determination and dedication culminated in her graduation, followed by a meaningful role at the Waukesha campus of the Milwaukee Seventh-day Adventist School, where she taught for several years. She will now be serving a new role as 5th and 6th grade teacher at our Milwauke South Campus.
Marie is a devoted mother and widow, and she cherishes the close bond she shares with her two adult daughters and her son-in-law. Her family remains a central part of her life, offering love, encouragement, and joy through every season.
Outside the classroom, Marie finds peace and creativity in music, often playing the piano as a form of reflection and expression. She is also an avid reader, always eager to dive into a good book. At home, she enjoys the comforting companionship of her cat, who is never far from her side—especially when she’s grading papers or planning lessons.
Please join us in welcoming Marie to to Milwaukee South Campus!
