Katrina Baun, New Superintendent for Education

Katrina Baun is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in school administration, curriculum development, and teacher support. She has served as the Superintendent of Education for the Illinois Conference and brings over 15 years of progressive leadership across multiple educational roles, including Associate Superintendent, Principal, and Teacher. Katrina holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Andrews University and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in the same field. Known for her strategic initiatives, she has led the implementation of key programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Title Fund Projects, and mental health initiatives, while supporting a team of 75+ educators across the conference. Her passion lies in fostering ethical practices, academic excellence, and collaborating with school leaders to continue the mission of Adventist Education throughout the NAD. She shares, “I am looking forward to working with teachers and families across Wisconsin to continue to build strong schools that lead students to Jesus.” In Katrina’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and supporting her husband in Pathfinder ministry.
