As we head into the spring season in a few months, Camp Wakonda is gearing up for some exciting projects, and we need your help! We’re hosting Winter Work Days on March 23 and April 6, from 9 AM to 5 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved, make a difference, and enjoy a productive day at the camp.
Dates & Times:
- March 23 | 9 AM – 5 PM
- April 6 | 9 AM – 5 PM
Throughout these two days, we’ll be working on a variety of important projects that will improve the camp’s facilities and grounds. These projects include:
- Cabin renovations: Freshen up our cabins to enhance the camp experience.
- Bathhouse privacy screens: Work on creating more privacy for our campers.
- Building closets in Division buildings: Help create more organized spaces for storage.
- Building bunk beds in cabins: Help ensure our cabins are fully equipped for future camp sessions.
- Electrical work: Assist with necessary electrical upgrades in Division buildings.
- Odd job repairs: A variety of smaller repairs around camp that will help maintain the facilities.
- Miscellaneous cleaning around camp: Help tidy up and make the space welcoming for all.
- Tree work: Trimming trees to ensure the camp’s grounds remain safe and accessible.
Lunch will be provided, so come hungry and ready to work! If you plan on joining us, please call or text Becky at 920-737-0679, so we can count you in for lunch and project assignments.
We are grateful for the continued support of our facilities, and your involvement helps us maintain and improve Camp Wakonda for all who visit. Whether you’re a regular volunteer or new to the camp, we’d love to have you join us!
