Aseel Nazir Accepts Call as New Youth Pastor for Milwaukee Central Church

Ministerial February 13, 2025

Pastor Aseel was born in Pakistan but has had the privilege of calling the Philippines, South Korea, and Hong Kong home. Now residing in the United States, he is grateful to call Milwaukee his home.

As a pastor’s kid, he was involved in ministry from a young age, which instilled in him a passion for service and a heart for others. However, despite his early exposure to ministry, becoming a pastor was never on his list of aspirations.

“I believe God heard me one day confessing, for the only time in my life, to a friend that I wanted to study theology at Andrews University,” he recalls. That moment of confession came in 2014 after he graduated high school in Pakistan. With no financial means to attend Andrews at the time, he chose to pursue a degree in Business Administration in Pakistan instead.

A decade later—through different academic majors, life events, jobs, countries, and schools—God led him to Andrews University, where he ultimately graduated with a theology degree. “I think of it as a testimony of God’s desire to fulfill our good desires,” he reflects. While God could have provided the means for him to attend Andrews in 2014, Pastor Aseel believes those ten years shaped him in ways beyond academics. The experiences, challenges, and personal growth of that journey deepened his calling and solidified his desire to become a pastor.

Over the past two years, he has had the opportunity to serve as a pastor at camp meeting, where he was privileged to be the Junior Division’s guest speaker in 2023. In addition, he also interned at the Milwaukee Central Seventh-day Adventist Church. These experiences have strengthened his pastoral skills and enriched his ministry, for which he is deeply grateful.

Pastor Aseel is passionate about building relationships across generations. His passion in ministry includes discipleship, missions, interfaith engagement, and relationship ministries. He is especially committed to encouraging young people to make wise decisions and to embrace a life empowered by the Gospel.

Beyond ministry, his hobbies include playing the guitar, running, photography, learning, reading, and writing.
