The Madison Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church recently celebrated three baptisms – Shawn Kennedy on August 20 and Kevin & Christina Duren on November 19.
On the day she was baptized, Shawn gave her testimony and shared that she had accepted Jesus over 30 years ago, but had many difficulties in her life since that time. Earlier this year, when the news reminded her of end-time prophecies, she decided to attend church again and remembered that the seventh day was the Sabbath. Shawn visited the Madison Community Church on July 2 and immediately felt that the Holy Spirit had led her to the decision to give her life to Jesus again. She was re-baptized shortly after the Living With Hope series at Madison Community concluded. What a joy to see Shawn so happy and smiling every Sabbath since then!
Kevin and Christina Duren were married on Friday, November 18, the day before their baptisms. They had been meeting with Pastor Rowell Puedivan for several months for pre-marital counseling and Bible studies. Kevin had known Pastor Puedivan for several years since he attended the Eau Claire area church when Puedivan was pastor there. Kevin has family members who are Seventh-day Adventist, but Christina did not know until her wedding day, when her father told her, that her great grandmother and great-great grandmother were both Seventh-day Adventists. They each shared the name Christine. Both Kevin & Christina love Jesus and feel this is where they belong.
We rejoice and praise God for Shawn, Kevin, and Christina giving their lives to Jesus!
