Our annual Women’s Empowerment Weekend was held on April 8-10, 2022. The weather was cold on Friday, it even snowed but it thankfully it warmed up for the rest of the weekend to welcome our guest speaker, Dr.Elizabeth Talbot who is from California.

The theme for the weekend was Jesus in Times Like These. During our meetings, Dr. Talbot helped is see that throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, the focus and central thought is everything in God’s Word points to Jesus Christ.

Thirty five ladies were in attendance over the weekend, many in person and several on Zoom. We were delighted to have Sue Pehler as the cook for the weekend! As always, the food was delicious and very tasty. Everyone had fun and it was a relaxing weekend with smiles and lots of laughter and new formed friendships.

We want to thank Deidra Roat for the beautiful sign that captured the theme for the weekend and Sue Pehler for cooking delicious food. Also, special thanks to Allison Payne for recording the event, Robert Egger for managing the sound system, and Zachary Payne for supplying the cross as a prop for the weekend.

Those in attendance had fun saying, “Jesus Wins!! Woo!! Hoo!!”
