Thirty Attend One-Day Women’s Retreat at the Racine Seventh-day Adventist Church

On May 15, thirty ladies gathered for the one day Women’s Retreat at the Racine Seventh-day Adventist Church. Guest speaker, Domaz Wellington, shared her wisdom on the idea that you can be present in body only, and not present in mind. The theme for the day was: You’re in the room, but how are you showing up? And the scripture was: “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 KJV

Domaz is a licensed professional counselor, a marriage and family therapist in training, and a certified rehabilitation counselor. Her practice is based on her personal mantra, “No problem should last forever.” She says, “With the guidance of biblical principles and the leading of the Holy Spirit, I work to help people find joy and peace.”

She shared tools with the group that can help when facing life’s challenges such as, reading God’s Word as well as believing and claiming His promises. She advised making a daily request for the infilling of the Holy Spirit which leads us to be in the right place at the right time so we can be God’s love, compassion, grace, mercy, and forgiveness in action.

The ladies had time to listen, share, and fellowship with one another as well as eat, laugh, and pray together. Those in attendance were abundantly blessed and they praise God for the opportunity to get together in love.

We need to be like Jesus Christ and have the same mission He had. “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10 KJV

That is why when we are filled to overflowing with the living water that Jesus offered the woman at the well, that we can share the good news with others and follow the great commission of Jesus Christ. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20 KJV

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20 KJV.

May you have an attitude of praise and thanksgiving.
