Shorty Mundt Celebrated 90 Years

Shorty Mundt Celebrated 90 Years

Raymond Walter Mundt (Shorty) celebrated his 90th birthday a few weeks ago. He was born March 7, 1932, and is a member of the Tomahawk Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is 5’2″ and maybe even a little less now, but to me, his daughter, he was always the biggest man in my life. Some of you sent him cards with such wonderful messages of how he has touched your life. I want to thank-you all so much. He received over 132 cards. One of the cards he received tells a great deal of how my dad touches the lives of people around him. I want to share that with you.

“I will never forget that day in 2014 when you saw, felt, or realized something just wasn’t right. You grabbed my hand and you prayed for me. You talked to the LORD and asked for Him to watch over me. Your prayers opened my eyes and made me realized my life at that time was worthy of your blessings. It was my moment of divine intervention. Shorty, you are a gift to me and a gift to everyone you have touched in your 90 years. Happy Birthday and may God bless you with “many more.”  Rich

I have learned many lessons from my dad, but the best lesson is, always be prepared to share the LOVE of JESUS to whoever you meet.

He and my mom, Sharon, have been volunteering almost 30 years for most of the summer at Camp Wakonda. It is the highlight of their summer. My dad had two major strokes in 2021, but I can say “PRAISE GOD,” because he is still able to care for himself and be at home. He is still a warrior for Jesus. When ever he gets a chance, Jesus is who he talks about. He is somewhat limited as to what he can do, but he is still looking forward to camp meeting this summer.  If you see him there give him a big hug. He loves hugs.
