Feria de Salud Milwaukee West Hispanic SDA Church
El domingo 26 de marzo 2023, en las nuevas instalaciones de la iglesia Adventista del Oeste de Milwaukee, se llevó a cabo la feria de salud “Vive Sano, Vive Mejor, Vive Más.
La directora del ministerio de salud local, Paty Alegría y su equipo de líderes, en conjunto con Noemí Miranda y el comité del Ministerio de Salud Hispana de la Conferencia de Wisconsin, llevaron a cabo la planificación de éste magno evento que contó con la presencia del doctor Walter Plasencia, las enfermeras Patty Alegría, Gwen RN, Merary Salazar RN, Kasandra González SN y Viviana Gardana MA. También estuvo la psicóloga Marjorie Mendoza, pastores y los líderes de las estaciones de los 8 recursos naturales.
Se atendió a 71 personas que recibieron orientación de cómo cuidar su salud, vivir más y feliz a través de la buena alimentación, el ejercicio, la temperancia, la luz solar, el aire puro, el agua, el descanso y la confianza en Dios.
Familias enteras pasaron a través de las 8 estaciones de salud, hablaron con la psicóloga, con la ayuda de las enfermeras certificadas tomaron muestras de laboratorio e hicieron preguntas al doctor buscando consejos de salud sobre condiciones existentes.
Las personas que asistieron a la feria de salud expresaron su sorpresa y satisfacción de llegar a entender un poco mas de la mejor manera que ellos pueden disfrutar de buena salud sin gastar una cantidad enorme de dinero. Algunos de ellos mencionaron haber aprendido más acerca de los germinados y brotes y la facilidad que hay de hacerlo en casa y el enorme beneficio que esto trae a su salud.
El apoyo del Pr. Guzmán y los miembros de la iglesia local hizo la diferencia en todo el proceso de la feria de salud. Los hermanos asignados a dirigir el tráfico en el estacionamiento, y las hermanas de la registración hacían sentir a los asistentes muy bienvenidos y tener la sensación que alguien los estaba esperando.
Agradecemos a todos los participantes que hicieron de esta feria de salud una realidad y de mucha bendición a aquellos que por primera vez estaban aprendiendo una nueva y mejor manera de cuidar su salud y la de la familia.

Health Fair Milwaukee West Hispanic SDA Church
On Sunday, March 26, 2023, the Milwaukee West Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church, held the “Live Healthy, Live Better, Live More” health fair at their new facility.
Along with her team of leaders, the local health ministries director, Paty Alegría, together with Noemi Miranda and the Wisconsin Conference Hispanic Health Ministry committee, carried out the planning for this great event. We were blessed to have Doctor Walter Plasencia, nurses Patty Alegría, Gwen (RN), Merary Salazar (RN), Kasandra González (S)N and Viviana Gardana (MA), as well as psychologist Marjorie Mendoza, and several pastors and church leaders running the stations for The 8 Natural Resources.
During the event, 71 people received guidance on how to take care of their health as well as live longer and happier through good nutrition, exercise, temperance, sunlight, fresh air, water, rest and trust in God.
Entire families went through the 8 health stations, talked to the psychologist and, with the help of the registered nurses, took laboratory samples and asked the doctor questions seeking health advice on existing conditions.
Attendees expressed their surprise and satisfaction that they were able to understand a little more about how they can best enjoy good health without spending a huge amount of money. Some mentioned that they enjoyed learning more about sprouts and how easy it is to experience the enormous benefit they bring to their health right in their own home.
The support of Pastor Cristofe Guzmán and the members of the local church made a huge difference in the whole process of the health fair. Those assigned to direct traffic in the parking lot, and the at registration made attendees feel very welcome and that someone was waiting for them.
We thank all the participants who made this health fair a reality. It was a great blessing to those who, for the first time, were able to learn a new and better way to take care of the health of themselves and their family.
