Hispanic Community Health Fair

On April 3, 2022, La Hayes Hispanic Adventist Church had a great health fair event. We had another Covid Vaccine Clinic and Covid Antibody Testing. The Medical College of Wisconsin provided the Covid antibody tests for our members and community. The Covid antibody test consist in taking blood sample and sending it to the lab to test how many Covid antibodies are in the body. This was for vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Those who took the test received a gift card. In addition, the church has partnered with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield to provide gift cards to people who were vaccinated that day.

For the honor and glory of God, 15 people were vaccinated, mostly people from the community. For the antibody test, blood was drawn from 35 people, most of them members of the community.

I would like to thank God because with Him everything is possible. I also thank Viviana Gardana, Eligio Lara, Kassandra Gonzales, my father; Aparicio Alegría, Leandro Olguín, the team at the Medical College of Wisconsin in special to Dr. Dessie, also to Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, my husband Herman García, La Hayes Church’s members and Pastor Cristofe Guzmán for their support and help throughout this event.

I am happy that the community, through this activity, came into contact with our church, some of them said “I will come to mass on Saturdays”.
