Time for Planned Giving and Trust Services

I tend to look on the brighter side of my daily circumstances – I hope you do that as well. I’ve been thinking some of them lately. For me, some of the bright spots of being “quarantined” because of COVID-19 is I’ve had more “alone time” with my wife.

Together, we have been spending time working on projects around the house and yard. We planted a beautiful drooping cherry blossom tree in the back yard and tended our flower garden. Looking at old photos of friends and family has been fun. We are enjoying walking the neighborhood and meeting some lovely people in the process. We especially have enjoyed exploring our state parks (until they closed them) and walking local trails on Sabbath.

I have also enjoyed listening to “other preachers” on Sabbath for a change (on face book & YouTube of course) instead of listening to me. Since I have not been traveling, I’ve been working on office projects that will help me to minister more effectively as Trust Director.

If you find yourself with a little extra time on your hands right now because of COVID-19, I have an idea. This may be a good time to examine your estate plan. (i.e. current Will or Trust etc.) Our circumstances change over time and it is a good idea to make sure everything is up to date. If you have no estate plan in place, this might be a good time to look into creating you Will or other estate planning ideas with me. Some folks have mentioned that the process is a lot easier than they thought.

You can contact me by calling our office number at 920-484-6555 ext. #311. Leave a message for me and I will get back to you right away. By the way, all our conversations are completely confidential.  Please, stay safe my friends. Enjoy the extra time you have for family, for God, catching up on projects, and if you like, use this time for taking care of your estate planning.P
