King, Mary

Mental Health Nurse for School of Nursing at Southern Adventist University

Mary Richards King is a wife, mother, homemaker, and registered nurse who lives in the picturesque town of Ooltewah, Tennessee. She holds two part-time positions at Southern Adventist University, serving as a support nurse for the dorm students and a clinical lab instructor in the area of mental health for the School of Nursing.

Her husband of 35 years, Greg, is dean of the School of Religion at Southern Adventist University. They have ministered together in many locations, and Greg’s

sermons and camp meeting messages are often followed by Mary’s trademark a cappella singing. Mary has spoken at churches, women’s ministry functions, and retreats at a variety of locations, including Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, and Washington.

Greg and Mary enjoy traveling, and they have led tours to Israel, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Walking where Jesus walked, standing on Mars Hill where the Apostle Paul boldly proclaimed the true God, and visiting the sites where various martyrs gave their lives for the Gospel, have inspired Greg and Mary’s faith and provided wonderful opportunities for making new friends with other members of the worldwide Adventist family.

They have two adult sons. Jonathan, 29, is doing classwork in computer studies and cyber security. Joshua, 27, recently graduated from medical school and is taking a residency in the area of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Mary pays tribute to her parents for a very happy childhood, which gave her strong spiritual roots. She considers it a blessing to have grown up as the daughter of Voice of Prophecy speaker H. M. S. Richards Jr. and his wife, Mary. She feels that her early years laid a firm foundation for her own spiritual growth, and it is her desire to fall more deeply in love with Jesus each day and to discover more fully His plan for her life.

She is excited to be sharing a seminar on the eight essentials of optimal health. In this seminar she will share how everything you really need to know about healthy living you can learn from CREATION.  Come join us as we unpack the acronym of CREATION health and discover the tried and true components to living the abundant life that all of us were designed to live.

If you are wanting to recharge your spiritual, emotional, or physical batteries, or if you simply need some encouragement toward living a healthier life, this seminar is for you. It is Mary’s prayer that YOU may PROSPER and BE IN GOOD HEALTH even as your SOUL PROSPERS. (3 John 2)
