Conference President, Titus Naftanaila, Completes Doctoral Degree

Wisconsin Conference president, Titus Naftanaila, recently received his Doctor of Ministry degree, with an emphasis in Discipleship and Biblical Spirituality, from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. Over the five year process of earning the degree, doctoral students develop and implement a project for which they write a dissertation. President Naftanaila’s dissertation is titled, Developing and Implementing a Community-Based Hospitality Awareness Program in the Green Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Reflecting on his studies Naftanaila says, “The entire Doctor of Ministry journey has been a transformative experience that broadened my perspective on integrating research, theology, and practice in a professional network context. The class intensives and the doctoral project deepened my understanding of discipleship and church hospitality concepts and had a notable positive impact on my spiritual, personal, relational, and professional life.” He went on to say, “In the Three Angels Message context, discipleship implies the everlasting gospel, restoration of God’s image in humanity, and total transformation of the heart with direct implications on behavior.”

He is grateful to God, his family, friends, professors, colleagues, and the many others who have supported him in achieving this goal.

We praise God for enabling our president to further his education and complete this journey!
