Reagan, Jacie

Milwaukee SDA School South Campus Vice Principal Grades 5 - 6

My name is Jacie Reagan.  I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana.  My parents are from West Tennessee which I also claim as home.  I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.  My maternal grandmother and aunt were teachers.

I’ve been teaching 23 years.  My elementary teaching experience includes teaching in Seventh-day Adventist multi-grade schools where I was teacher, principal, and everything in-between; 1st grade classroom in a charter school where I taught at risk students with special education teachers, an occupational therapist, and a social worker; and at the college level. Currently I am teaching 5th and 6th grade and am the Building Principal.

I endeavor to create a Christ-centered classroom where students can learn more about Jesus and how to have a relationship with Him.  I believe the spiritual lessons are VERY important and can be taught in every subject.

In my classroom I like to use a variety of teaching strategies – cooperative learning, projects, and discussions.  I strive to make my classroom a safe place for all students to share information, ask questions, and learn.  It is my expectation that every student become involved in their learning and push themselves to grow as a student and as an individual. I love to work with children and see them grow in learning, maturity, and in a relationship with Jesus.

My goal is to be an example and leader for our Savior, Jesus Christ and encourage my students to have a relationship with Jesus and do their very best in all they set out to do.

My husband and I have 8 children and 23 grandchildren living in Michigan, North Carolina, Illinois, and Florida. Two of our sons are in the Army. I love to read, hike, cook, sew, do crafts, and spend time with my family, especially my grandchildren.
